Ink on paper about 5" x 3"
I made this about a month ago after watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I'm thinking of taking this image and making an oil painting, possibly adding some color.
I haven't seen the movie, but the feeling I get from the painting is one of "industrialized claustrophobia". The black-and-white fits that mood much better, and maybe adding colors would dilute the oppressiveness of it.
industrialized claustrophobia... I like that, and I think you make a good point about the colors, but too I'm curious of how it might look. I'll have to make another and see how it looks both ways. Perhaps the right colors could make it look more oppressive.
